I know that Benfica are a huge corporate giant and that as a supporter of a small-time nothing club I should be denouncing them as nasty capitalist bastards. However my impression of the club over the weekend was one that it oozes absolute class.
Not only is this a hugely impressive stadium but the entire complex is ridiculously impressive. The club museum has a level of design and detail that I'm yet to see elsewhere (it even provides a vague history of the Cold War and the twentieth century as a whole!). You get the impression of an immensely proud club that conveys itself in the right way.
I'll definitely recommend the tour if you can't see a game out there.
